The following is a list of PTA Volunteer opportunities.  In order to make our progams
and events successful, volunteers are needed at many levels.

Committee Chairpeople-Oversee numerous coordinators and serve on the PTA Board.
Coordinators-Plan a specific program or event.
General Volunteers-Work on specific programs or events.
Volunteer Opportunities
Our activities cannot run without your help!

interested in getting involved.  Descriptions of
all our opportunities are below.
  • Welcome Back Picnic-
  • Library- Volunteer an hour a week to work in the library.
  • Yearbook- Assist with the production of our first all color
    Yearbook.
  • Fundraising- Volunteer to distribute or organize fundraising
    events.
  • Hospitality- Help set up and/or clean up of special events
    (such as teacher breakfasts, luncheons)
  • Red Ribbon Week -Say No! to Drugs Week.  Help with daily
    events.
  • Spring Festival - Volunteer to help plan, organize and/or work
    the event.
  • Book Fair - Help organize and/or volunteer for a shift during
    this week long event.
  • Rise and Read -Volunteer before school to set up/clean up.
  • Escrip -Help grow Escrip participation.
  • Reflections Art Recognition and Achievement Program (Sept.
    -Oct.)-(Literature, Musical Composition, Photography, Visual
    Arts, Dance Choreography, Film/Video Production).
  • Newsletter (Quarterly) -Help duplicate, staple and distribute
    Newsletter.
  • Staff Appreciation Day - Help thank our Arroyo Vista Staff
    for all their hard work.
  • Picture Day - Volunteer 1/2 day to help students look their
    best and make the picture process run smoothly and quickly
    (8:45am-12:45pm)
  • Ice Cream Social/Art Show -Volunteer for a shift the
    evening of the event distributing the ice cream or
    organizing the Art show.
  • Holiday Gift Store -Volunteer for an hour time slot selling
    gift items to students during school hours.
  • EEF-Golf Tournament, Gala, or EEF Cycle Eastlake
    (Spring)-Volunter to help at an EEF event.
  • Programs-Volunteer or help organize assemblies for
    students and/or parents.
  • Health Education -Volunteer at a program to educate
    children/adults about health issues affecting youth.
  • Safety Committee -Help with events that will focus on
    safety awareness.
  • Parent Involvement -Volunteer at programs that focus on
    parent's involvement in their children's lives.
  • Outreach -Volunteer at an event to celebrate our school's
    diversity.
  • Honorary Service Award -Volunteer at a reception to
    recognize school and community volunteers for outstanding
    service to children and youth.
